International Advisory Board:Albert Park is Reader in the Economy of China at Oxford University, where he teaches in the Department of Economics and Contemporary China Studies Programme. His research focuses on economic development in China, including poverty and inequality, human capital (health and education), labor markets, and globalization. Christine Wong teaches in the School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies and Said Business School, Oxford University. She has published widely on China’s fiscal reform and rural industrialization, focusing especially on central-local interactions. Her current research examines governance and provision of public services.Dali Yang is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Chicago. Among his many books and articles are Remaking the Chinese Leviathan: Market Transition and the Politics of Governance in China (Stanford, 2004) and Beyond Beijing: Liberalization and the Regions in China (Routledge, 1997).
