Founded by Karl Langosch in 1965, Mittellateinische Studien und Texte has grown to be one of the main forums for the publication of high-quality editions, studies and collections of articles on Latin philology of the Middle Ages. Most senior scholars in the field have published in this peer-reviewed series, in which 2-3 new titles appear annually. Monographs in the series cover paleography, literary history, the history of the language, the history of the transmission of texts, as well as rhythm and metrics. Occasionally works on Neo-Latin also appear in the series. This peer-reviewed book series has as its focus the authors and the Latin and vernacular literatures of the Middle Ages and Renaissance (ca. 6th through 16th centuries), including those less common literatures that arose within the European cultural sphere. Volumes include original scholarly monographs, article collections, as well as editions of primary sources, and translations. All methodological approaches—including interdisciplinary ones—are welcome. [Brill Acquisitions Editor: Julian Deahl]
