International Studies in Sociology and Social Anthropology is a peer-reviewed series exploring civil society, the state, and structures and institutions spanning both, from elites and crowds, to social movements and interaction networks, to the military and voluntary associations. Topics of interest include (but are not restricted to):
• Professions and other major intermediary associations, including publicly traded corporations;
• Horizontal accountability within and beyond the state, including rule of law constraints;
• Confluence of law and society, legal scholarship and sociology;
• Major theories and theorists of civil society and the state, including of democratization and despotism.
